A few contract questions come up in almost every training. Here are the short answers.
Can I get the contract as a Word document?
No, and that is by design. The contract is generated and managed inside Matrix so the opportunity stays the single source of truth. Working from a separate Word copy would let the two versions drift apart. See Generating Contracts in Matrix.
Is there a link I can copy to send the contract myself?
No. Send the contract for signature from within Matrix. That way delivery, opens, and signatures are tracked on the opportunity automatically. See Electronic Signatures within Contracts.
How do I countersign?
Once the client has signed, the contract sits at Counter Signature Pending until someone at the hotel counter-signs it. You can do that from the opportunity's Documents tab, without going to find the email Matrix sent. The document then completes and the opportunity moves forward. Do I still send agreements through my old tool (for example Sertifi)?
Send your agreements through Matrix so everything is tracked in one place. Credit card authorizations can go through Matrix too: once your property connects its Sertifi account, you can send a CC Authorization Form from the opportunity and track it on the Documents tab. See CC Authorization Forms.
