Your Migration: What Came Over and What to Re-enter

Updated July 7, 2026

Overview

During onboarding we import a lot of your history so you can start with a full pipeline instead of a blank system. A few things do not carry over and need to be set up or re-entered. Knowing this up front saves you from assuming data is there when it is not.

What typically comes over

  • Accounts and contacts
  • Leads
  • Opportunities (these often land in an early stage and may need re-staging and a value)
  • Completed and historical activities

What does not come over (re-enter these)

  • Open and future activities / traces. Your open future follow-ups generally do not migrate. Re-create the ones you are counting on so nothing gets dropped.
  • Property setup. Inventory, menus and food and beverage items, function spaces, taxes and fees, and rooms and tiers are configured directly in Matrix, not imported. Your Property Admins build these out. See the Property Setup guides, including Property Setup: Taxes & Fees.

Expect a cleanup pass

Some imported opportunities arrive in an early stage with no value, and duplicate accounts or stale leads are normal. Plan a short cleanup after go-live so your pipeline and reports are trustworthy. See Cleaning Up Your Pipeline.

Key takeaway

Most of your history comes over. The two things to watch: re-create the future follow-ups you need, and have your admins complete property setup, which is configured in Matrix rather than imported.
