What Is Global Search?
Global Search lets you jump to any record in Matrix from one search box. Start typing a name, company, or keyword and Matrix searches across your Leads, Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, and Activities at once. You do not have to know which tab something lives in.
It runs on a fast search index, so results appear as you type.
How to Use It
Click the search box at the top left of any Matrix screen. Type what you are looking for, then select a result to open that record.
- Search by company name, contact name, or opportunity/event name.
- Global Search spans your whole scope, so you will find records across every property you have access to.
- Don't remember the exact name? Type a partial word and matching results surface as you go.
Global Search vs. Search on board: the box at the top left searches all of Matrix. The "Search on board" box only filters the board you are currently viewing. Use Global Search when you want to find a record anywhere.
Tips
Reach for Global Search first. When you know roughly what you are after, it is faster than clicking through tabs to a specific record.
