Overview
You can connect Matrix to ChatGPT or Claude and ask about your pipeline from there, instead of opening Matrix. It uses the same tools that power Agent Neo inside the app.
Agent Neo is in open beta, and this connector is part of that beta. Expect it to change.
One connection covers both. ChatGPT and Claude connect to the same Matrix server, so there is no separate build for each. Set it up once in whichever assistant you use.
What You Will Supply
Whatever the current screens call things, you are looking for the place to add your own connector, and you provide these:

You will also need a Matrix login, and the ability to sign in to it when the assistant sends you there.
Matrix is not listed in either product's built-in connector directory, so you add it yourself. Matrix places no restriction on who may connect. If you cannot find the option to add your own connector, that is set by your ChatGPT or Claude plan, or by whoever administers your company account there.
Adding It in Claude
- Open Claude's connector settings. You can go straight there at claude.ai/new#settings/customize-connectors, or find connectors under Settings.
- Choose to add a custom connector, then enter the Name and Server URL from the table above.
- Click Connect. Claude sends you to Matrix to sign in and approve the connection.
Claude does not ask you to choose an authentication method. It works that out from the server itself, so there is no OAuth setting to hunt for. If you are being asked for a client ID or a client secret, you are on the wrong kind of connector.
Adding It in ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT settings, open Plugins and turn on Developer. Until you do, there is no way to add your own connector, and this is the step people miss.
- Add a custom connector and enter the Name and Server URL, then set Authentication to OAuth.
- Complete the sign-in. ChatGPT sends you to Matrix to authorise the connection once.
Searching ChatGPT's settings for "developer" returns more than one result. The one you want is under Plugins. There is also a Developer mode under Browser and another under Computer use, and neither is needed here. The Browser one turns on full Chrome DevTools Protocol access, which ChatGPT itself marks as elevated risk, so leave it alone unless you have a separate reason to use it.
Using It
Once the connection is authorised it stays active, and you can ask about your pipeline in an ordinary chat. Try something you would ask Agent Neo, such as which accounts have gone quiet, or how a property is pacing.
What the Assistant Can See
A connected assistant sees exactly what you would see signed in to Matrix, and nothing more. Your role and your property permissions apply in the assistant just as they do in the app.
Two things worth knowing:
It starts across all of your properties. The connection is not tied to whatever scope your browser was last left in. It begins with everything you have access to and narrows as your question narrows it.
If your login reaches more than one subscription, the assistant settles which one it is working in before answering. Ask it who it thinks you are if you want to confirm.
Signing in to the assistant does not sign you in to Matrix, and it does not give the assistant your Matrix password.
How It Asks Which Property
Inside Matrix, Agent Neo shows you a property picker to click. An outside assistant has no Matrix screen to draw one in, so the same moment goes differently: Matrix hands back the properties that fit and the assistant asks you in its own words. You answer in plain language and it tries again.
That list is capped at 15 properties, so it is not always the complete set. If the one you want is missing, name it anyway. The assistant will retry with the name you gave rather than holding you to what it listed.
Each of these questions stands on its own. Naming a property answers that question, it does not pin the assistant to that property for the rest of the conversation, so say which property you mean when it matters.
Troubleshooting
You cannot find where to add a connector. Matrix is not in the built-in directory, so the standard list will never show it. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer under Plugins first. In Claude, go to connector settings and look for the option to add your own. If the option is missing entirely, that is down to your ChatGPT or Claude plan or your company's administrator there, not to Matrix.
The URL is rejected, or nothing happens. Check the address is exactly https://matrix.m1intel.com/mcp. Opening that address in a browser is meant to show an error, because it only answers requests from a connected assistant. That is not a sign anything is broken.
It asks for a client ID or a client secret. You are adding the wrong kind of connector. Matrix uses OAuth, and the sign-in happens in a browser window rather than in fields you fill in.
It says you are not authorised, or asks you to sign in again. Authorisations expire. Reconnect the connector and complete the Matrix sign-in again.
It cannot see a property or a record you expect. It is held to your own Matrix permissions. If you cannot reach that property signed in to Matrix, the assistant cannot either. Ask your admin to check your access.
